Untangling the Complexity of Dr. Carl Schoch

Carl, at the end of his Seattle to San Diego bicycle ride, standing at the US/Mexico Border, pointing to the bullring-by-the-sea.

Carl is an uncommonly intelligent, thoughtful and interesting man. He’s traveled the world, circumnavigated the globe in a sail boat, hiked long distances, cycled in multiple countries, and since we saw him, completed his third trek from Canada to Mexico on a bicycle, via the coast. In addition to his recreational journeys, he’s been on a singular vocational adventure. As an oceanographer, he’s posed crucial and perceptive environmental questions and continues to do his bit to find answers. Carl stopped by our house on his way south and told us a bit about his origin story and his current projects. Please, share and enjoy.
